Temperatures for the period averaged 46.6 degrees across the state which was 1.3 degrees warmer than normal . High temperatures averaged from 58.1 in the West to 56.3 in the East. Departure from normal high temperatures ranged from 1.1 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 0.2 degrees cooler than normal in the East. Low temperatures averaged from 45.5 degrees in the West to 35.0 degrees in the East. Departure from normal low temperature ranged from 9.3 degrees warmer than normal in the West to 2 degrees warmer than normal in the East. The extreme high temperature for the period was 97.2 at Union county and the extreme low was -13.4 at Bath county.

Precipitation (liq. equ.) for the period totaled 28.68 inches statewide which was 5.94 inches above normal and 126.1% of normal. Precipitation totals by climate division, West 33.66 inches, Central 29.73 inches, Bluegrass 24.33 inches and East 27.00 inches, which was 8.91, 5.46, 4.26 and 5.14 inches above normal. By station, precipitation totals ranged from a low of 21.60 inches at Campbell county to a high of 42.47 inches at Harlan county. Dewpoint temperatures for the state averaged near 37.6 degrees.
